goz is probably right - i need technique. but tbh my cbr is 4 months old from brand new and i didn't want to risk damaging it. So my speed around corners was quite pedestrian. I'd do all the leaning you wanted with a track bike..
btw it was my first track day, but it won't be my last. i just wish i hadnt waited so long to book the first one.
That was meant to be in effect from 1st july, wasn't it? At any rate I was eyeing a late model (08 I think) zx6r on ebay that had some scratched plastic and 2 broken brake levers. Went for $2500. If only the tax return had come through already, I was all over it til it topped 2100.
Need to fork out for leathers as well, argh. Will probably follow in UDLOSE's steps and just have a watch for now.
I'd rather spend more money and ensure when I have off's that I've protected myself the best I can with the best I can afford. I'm not sure why, but I just have this fear of a two piece ripping apart during an off... That's just me though!
I just adore the ensemble nature of my Gainese Two Peice, it's been tested during a number of low side slides........sweethearts I have yet to make the acquaintance of Mr Highside.
I started with a one piece (4 years ago) for the same logic as Respi but I've only used it for winter this year. I bought a 2 piece in January which I use for summer just because it's a shitter sweating so much in the heat with the one piece....also because I haven't seen any 2 pieces separating yet.
For the record RN, I reckon it'd matter less for a highside as you'd slide less.
